JS Bach Cantata No.82 ‘Ich habe genug’ [complete]

Baritone Teddy Tahu Rhodes brings his artistry and musicianship to vibrant Baroque arias by Bach, Kuhnau and Handel, and a complete solo Bach cantata. This warm and intimate program provides gleaming moments of reflection and quiet joy, set amongst works of inspiring energy.

Hindemith’s Trauermusik is a 20th-century lament, whose lyrical seriousness of purpose is balanced by the cheerfully rhythmic craftsmanship of Bach’s Suite of dances. The concert also allows a more extensive glimpse of Bach’s sincere religious faith, through his Cantata No.82 with its poignant, slow-movement lullaby.
