In its thirty years, the ACO has attained unparalleled acclaim. Richard Tognetti’s inspired leadership and enthusiasm have taken the Orchestra to its world renowned status. Our challenge is to capitalise on that success – to inspire the future.
The ACO Capital Challenge is a secure fund which will permanently strengthen the ACO. We hope to raise $3 million in 3 years. In addition, revenue generated by that corpus will provide funds to create exceptional new collaborations, commission new works, expose international audiences to the ACO’s unique programming, support the development of young Australian artists and establish and strengthen a second ensemble.
We have had a wonderful response to our campaign and cash and pledges of over $2 million have been confirmed, indicating that we are well on our way to achieving our target of $3 million. We consider this a significant milestone and can now see that our vision for the future will soon be a reality.
