The ACO surveys three centuries of French music from the Louis XIV splendour of Rameau’s dazzling opera-ballet Dardanus to Ravel’s luminous String Quartet in Richard Tognetti’s arrangement for string orchestra. The Australian accent of composer Roger Smalley can be heard in his dynamic work, Strung Out.
