“David is frightened of the sea. He does not like it at all, not one bit…”

We are pleased to announce that ACO Collective will perform our first family concert series at the Sydney Opera House in 2019.

Based on the beloved picture book by Margaret Wild and illustrated by Jane Tanner, and featuring an original score by composer Paul Stanhope, the world premiere performance of 'There’s a Sea in My Bedroom' will engage audiences in the magical story of a boy overcoming his fears, while introducing children to the narrative power of live music.

Surrounded on all sides by ACO Collective musicians, children and parents alike will be totally immersed in David’s world as he explores the depths of his imagination.

'There's a Sea in My Bedroom' will run from 7-21 May next year in the intimate surrounds of the Utzon Room. We look forward to sharing the joy of music with a whole new audience next year.
