Audio-described concert

Posted on 15 May 2017 by Cristina Maldonado

A trained audio describer delivers the program relayed via an in-house receiver to an earpiece. The audio description seeks to enhance the concert-going experience for audience members who are blind or have a low vision through describing the movements and actions of the orchestra as well as relating the visual elements of the concert.

Audio-described concert tickets for this performance have been discounted and are available to patrons who are blind or have low vision and their companion only.

To book a ticket and secure a headset for this performance contact ACO Access Manager Dean Watson on 02 8274 3819 or via email at dean.watson@aco.com.au

Headsets will be available for collection from Sydney Opera House Box Office area one hour prior to the performance.

Headsets numbers are subject to alibility. A $7.50 fee applies per ticket transaction.
