We are proud to have received 3 nominations for this year’s Helpmann Awards, which honour outstanding live performance in the arts.

The nominations are for:

Best Chamber &/or Instrumental Ensemble

Julia Lezhneva - Baroque Brilliance

Our 2016 collaboration with the young Russian soprano earned high praise from critics for soaring renditions of Bach, Handel, Vivaldi and Porpora.

Best Chamber &/or Instrumental Ensemble

Bach Violin Concertos

The Bach Violin Concerto launched our 2017 season with a powerful group of principal players. The show was met with rave reviews and set the tone for this year’s adventurous concert program.

Best Individual Classical Performance

Richard Tognetti: Bach Violin Concertos

Along with its best performance nomination, Richard Tognetti’s powerful presence in the Bach Violin Concertos earned him a nomination for Best Individual Classical Performance.

During the event, Richard will also be awarded the 2017 JC Williamson award during the event, which he receives in recognition of his place as ‘an individual who has made a truly outstanding contribution to the enrichment of Australia’s live performance culture and shaped the future of the industry for the better’.

The 17th annual Helpmann Awards be presented on Monday 24 July at the Capitol Theatre in Sydney.
