ACO Principal Cello Timo-Veikko ‘Tipi’ Valve, discusses Egarr & The Golden Age, and ACO Principal Violin, Satu Vänskä, plays JS Bach’s Violin Concerto in A minor. Featuring an introduction by SBS World News presenter Anton Enus.

In this concert. the Director of one of the world’s great period instrument orchestras, the Academy of Ancient Music, keyboardist, conductor, historian and champion of early music Richard Egarr directs the ACO in a beautiful journey to the musical worlds of JS Bach, Haydn, Purcell and Lawes.

Back in Australia after the huge success of his 2012 tour with the ACO, expect Egarr to present an invigorating concert that will bring new life to some of the Baroque’s finest gems.

Travel back in time with Richard Egarr as he presents music from the Golden Age performed on the ACO’s stunning collection of rare Italian instruments from the 16th to the 18th centuries.
