EMERGING ARTISTS

The ACO's Emerging Artists' Program connects the next generation of talented young Australian string players with members of the ACO. The program offers tertiary and post-tertiary musicians the opportunity to rehearse and perform with its renowned players and is tailored to suit the strengths and needs of each musician.

Each Emerging Artist receives:

  • Intensive periods of chamber music and chamber orchestra performances with members of the ACO, including performances with ACO Collective;
  • Private lessons with their mentor;
  • Audition preparation;
  • Access to ACO rehearsals.

Selected Emerging Artists go on tour nationally and internationally with the ACO, and it is a testament to the program's success that five former ACO Emerging Artists have been appointed members of the ACO.
