ACO Inspire Quartet is made up of musicians from ACO Collective, selected specifically to work on a variety of our Education activities. Based in Melbourne, these musicians have been mentored by members of the ACO and have a passion for music education.

The Quartet tours to regional Australia each year to visit schools, perform concerts and work with students, introducing them to string instruments and classical music genres. In addition to these tours they present the ACO Music & Art Program in regional schools, work with students at The Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne, work with students at Worawa Aboriginal College in Healesville and work with teachers from the Australian Children’s Music Foundation in primary schools in the Sunshine area in Melbourne.

In March 2016, ACO Inspire Quartet travelled to regional Queensland to give string workshops to students in Cairns, Rockhampton and the Gold Coast and a  Schools' Concert at Djarragun College in Gordonvale. They also took part in the Gondwana Cairns Indigenous Children's Choir weekend music camp, as part of our collaboration with Gondwana Choirs, culminating in a free community performance for family and friends.

ACO is grateful to our partner Total for its support of the string workshops on the ACO Inspire Quartet Queensland Tour.

In 2017 the ACO Inspire Quartet will travel to the South West of Western Australia to give string workshops and schools’ concerts to local students. ACO is grateful to our partner Wesfarmers for its support of our regional touring in Western Australia.
