Vivid Live & Sydney Film Festival World Premiere.

The adventure begins this June, with the world premiere of Mountain, a cinematic and musical event directed by BAFTA-nominated Sherpa director Jennifer Peedom, with live music by Richard Tognetti and the ACO and narration by two-time Academy Award® nominated actor Willem Dafoe.

Mountain is a unique musical journey through vistas that few have visited and none have seen in quite this way.

Shot by the world’s leading high altitude cinematographers, with narration written by celebrated British writer, Robert Macfarlane, this film explores the nature of our modern fascination with mountains. At these events the ACO will perform live with the film.

Throughout production, Richard Tognetti worked with Jennifer Peedom to assemble a stunning soundscape to mirror the serenity, magnitude and terror of the landscapes filmed, with works by Chopin, Grieg, Vivaldi, Corelli, Beethoven and new works by Richard himself.

Please note that subscription ticket exchanges are not available for Mountain World Premiere performance (12 June 2017) as this is a non-subscription concert presented in partnership with Vivid Live and Sydney Film Festival. For more info on our Ticket Exchange Policy, please click here.
