The Australian Chamber Orchestra will for the first time perform a series of intimate concerts led by Richard Tognetti at Ayers Rock Resort on Friday 30th and Saturday 31st October 2015.

The ACO Uluru Festival will feature special guest ARIA Award nominee Stephen Pigram lending his soulful voice and rhythmic guitar to harmonise with the ACO.

Limited to a maximum of 380 guests, the performances will take place in the textual intimacy of the Uluru Meeting Place. The program will feature three concerts, Friday evening by Rameau, Saturday matinee with music by Sculthorpe and Vivaldi and Saturday evening featuring music by Pärt and Bach.

This exclusive program has been designed to harmonise with the intrinsic spirit of the location’s unique surrounds. Works from composers such as Arvo Pärt and Australia’s own Peter Sculthorpe speak to our personal sanctity, calling on us to be still, immersed, and reflective, in the spiritual heart of Australia. No emotion is more spiritual than love, and the best instrument to express this powerful emotion - the violin - is played to perfection in pieces such as Vivaldi's stunning Presto from Violin Concerto in A minor, RV356.

Three exclusive dining events will complement the concerts over the weekend – a poolside welcome dinner on Friday night, a Long Lunch featuring tastes of the Outback BBQ selection and a celebratory Gala dinner on the Saturday night following the final concert in the presence of Orchestra members.
