ACO Underground, under its new name Satu in the Beyond, has released a new track, And There We Sat, on Spotify.
Satu in the Beyond is a boundary-pushing, electro-acoustic collaboration fronted by ACO Principal Violin Satu Vänskä. In the band, Satu alternates between performing on her precious 1726 ‘Belgiorno’ Stradivarius violin and taking to the mic as vocalist, which you will hear in this beautiful song, below.
“Satu In The Beyond is the band that has evolved from the ACO Underground project over the years” Satu says. “The aim is for audiences to encounter the unexpected – beautiful at one end and shocking at the other – but where the music is always at the forefront.”
Satu is on the cover of today, Saturday 23 September's, Sydney Morning Herald Good Weekend magazine, speaking about this song and reflecting on the past two decades she's spent living in Australia.
