ACO Violin, Liisa Pallandi

“Pekka Kuusisto”

Liisa Pallandi, ACO Violin

I can’t wait to play with Pekka Kuusisto again in 2026. He makes all music, old and new, seem glitteringly fresh. I’m also really looking forward to re-visiting the Muhly Concerto and hearing where Pekka has taken it since 2019 - it’s bound to be an ecstatic trip!
ACO Cello, Timo-Veikko Valve

“There can never be too much of Finland on the menu”

Timo-Veikko Valve, ACO Principal Cello

So many fantastic guests are joining us in 2026; Ilya [Gringolts] and Lawrence [Power], for example, but (and I’m of course biased) there can never be too much of Finland on the menu. I’m very much looking forward to welcoming back Pekka Kuusisto!”
ACO Cello, Julian Thompson

“The Song Company is always joyous!”

Julian Thompson, ACO Cello

It’ll be such a pleasure to perform Bach’s Christmas Oratorio in December and sharing the stage with members of The Song Company is always joyous!
ACO Principal Viola, Stefanie Farrands

“Playing the viola is my voice. It fills my heart with fire.”

Stefanie Farrands, ACO Principal Viola

How could I not be most looking forward to having Lawrence Power join us next year?!?
ACO Principal Violin, Helena Rathbone

“I am really happy to playing with the wonderful English violin/viola player, Lawrence Power.”

Helena Rathbone, ACO Principal Violin

British string music is in his blood as it is mine and the glorious Vaughan Williams Fantasia on a theme by Thomas Tallis has always been one of my personal all time favourite pieces. I am so looking forward to playing it again.”
