New Investors
Prospective investors may apply to invest at any time. However, the ACO Instrument Fund is open to wholesale investors only, with a minimum investment requirement of $50,000.
Please refer to your accountant, financial adviser, or the Corporations Act for the definition of a ‘wholesale client.’ Applicants will need to provide an accountant’s certificate confirming their status as a wholesale client.
If you meet the wholesale prerequisite and would like to apply to invest, please contact Yeehwan Yeoh, Manager, ACO Instrument Fund via [email protected] for a copy of the Information Memorandum or simply to start a conversation about the Fund.
If you are not looking for an investment product but would like to support the Orchestra's use of these instruments, you can make a tax-deductible donation to help fund the care and maintenance of our instrument collection.
The Fund’s circle of investors includes a number of individuals via their self-managed super funds (SMSFs), private ancillary funds (PAFs), as well as family trusts and foundations. The Fund’s assets comprise of four rare instruments made in 16th and 17th century Italy during the ‘Golden Age’ of instrument making.
As well as its financial potential, investment in a fine instrument represents a strong philanthropic commitment. You will directly support the ongoing success of Australia’s most revered performing ensemble, becoming a patron of the virtuosos to whom the instruments are loaned.
Investments in the Fund also contribute to Australia’s cultural landscape, providing thousands with the opportunity to attend performances that could not be achieved with lesser instruments, and helping support the future of music in Australia.
