The unrivalled doyenne of the Russian old school, pianist Elisabeth Leonskaja joins “the finest string ensemble on the planet” (The Telegraph, UK) to perform a beautiful and welcoming program of Beethoven and Mozart.

Leonskaja's musical development was deeply influenced by her friendship and musical collaborations with Sviatoslav Richter, considered one of the greatest pianists of the 20th century. Now she makes her Australian debut playing Mozart’s Jeunehomme Piano Concerto, arguably the composer’s first genuine masterpiece.

Also the Australian Chamber Orchestra plays Beethoven’s String Quartet No.12, the first of his late quartets which are, for many, the greatest works of his illustrious career.
