Osborne Winther Valve
Professional musicians are unique in that their work is often also their life’s passion. So when they get together to have fun, make music and create something special, you really don’t want to miss it.
World-renowned pianist and frequent ACO guest Steven Osborne joins ACO Principal Cello Timo-Veikko 'Tipi' Valve and Australian violinist Kristian Winther for a warm and intimate program of Dvořák and Brahms piano trios.
Bohemian composer Antonín Dvořák’s ‘Dumky’ Trio for piano, violin and cello is one of his most original and folkiest. In contrast Brahms’ trio is vast, herculean, and something of a musical juggernaut. (If you’re a movie lover, you might even hear the odd motif reappearing in the soundtrack of ET: The Extra Terrestrial.)
A heartwarming homage to two beloved composers.
