ACO Up Close: Le Gateau Chocolat in Raw Cacao
25 November 2025
Performance Info
We are thrilled to be collaborating with our friends at Pinchgut Opera for this Baroque celebration led by Erin Helyard, featuring star soprano Samantha Clarke.
Clarke’s performances in Handel’s Julius Caesar with Pinchgut Opera last year were described as “superb” (Daily Telegraph). For her ACO On The Pier debut, the Australian/British soprano will sing a selection of arias by Handel and Vivaldi that showcase her formidable artistry. Already a regular on the country’s opera and concert hall stages, this is a unique opportunity to experience this rising star in the intimate surrounds of The Neilson.
The vibrancy and virtuosity of the ACO will also be on show when a quartet of ACO musicians, directed by Erin Helyard, perform Vivaldi’s bright and inventive concertos.
