ACO Virtual presents the Australian Chamber Orchestra as you have never seen them before. This world-first installation places visitors in the middle of the virtual orchestra where they can conduct, isolate parts and even play along. With music by Grieg, Bach, Smalley and Piazzolla, visitors experience performing music from across the ages with one of the world’s greatest chamber orchestras.

JS BACH Brandenburg Concerto No.3 in G: 1st movement
 SMALLEY Strung Out (excerpt)
GRIEG (arranged Tognetti) String Quartet in G minor: 1st movement

Free curriculum-linked resources are available to teachers to prepare students before their visit, with activities to complete while at the installation and tasks to complete following their experience. These resources, for students from primary and secondary classes, ensure deeper learning outcomes as a part of visiting ACO Virtual.

“The students had never seen anything like it – they had a fantastic experience…it was a once in a lifetime experience for these children – the benefit is lifelong and fosters a passion for the arts that they otherwise would never gain.” Teacher

“I thought that a really good tool for seeing how the different parts in a composition are intertwined and how they fit with each other.” Audience Member
