ACO Collective is our acclaimed ensemble that brings together the musicians of the ACO with Australia’s most talented young professional string players.
In May 2025, ACO Collective travels to UKARIA for an intensive residency during which the ACO Emerging Artists will work side-by-side with their ACO Mentors, exploring the art of chamber music. Together, they will immerse themselves in classic chamber music repertoire alongside newly commissioned Australian works.
You are invited to experience the culmination of this week-long residency and hear a showcase of captivating chamber music, including a selection of string quartets and quintets by Schumann, Shostakovich and Jakub Jankowski, among others.

About the ACO Emerging Artist Program
In 2025 we celebrate 20 years of our flagship talent development program.
The ACO Emerging Artist Program was founded in 2005 to support young musicians in building their professional music careers. In the program, Emerging Artists are partnered with musicians from the ACO for intensive learning, one-to-one mentorship and professional performance opportunities. We are incredibly proud of the program and its participants, many of whom now play in orchestras around the world, including the ACO.
