PAST PERFORMANCE

WELCOME TO ACO RELAXED PERFORMANCES
Presented with flexible seating, adjusted lighting and sound levels, and a quiet space to chill out, these relaxed performances are tailored to those for whom the traditional concert hall experience may be inaccessible. We warmly welcome people with disability and/or who are d/Deaf, including those with sensory sensitivities and other access needs. Come along, respond to the music, be yourself and have fun!
We are pleased to offer $10 tickets available for people with disability. This may include NDIS participants, Companion Cards holders, members of the Sunflower program, or anyone with an association with a disability or support organisation.

Enjoy a 50-minute program of sumptuous classical music by Brahms and Tchaikovsky, coupled with brand new music from beloved Australian composer Nigel Westlake, and a flourish of Stavinsky’s music from the ballet Petrushka at the end.

A Princess and the Pea origin story, this stunning theatrical production comes alive with classical music performed live by ACO musicians.

ACO Relaxed Performance: Gershwin & Shostakovich
Enjoy a 50-minute program of music by 20th century masters, including works by Shostakovich, Silvestrov and Ravel, as well as George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, which will showcase the incredible virtuosity of pianist Alexander Gavrylyuk.
