Here at the ACO, we love nothing more than welcoming music lovers of all ages to our amazing home at Pier 2/3 in Sydney’s Walsh Bay Arts Precinct.
ACO Family Days include a 30-minute concert, introducing young listeners to different musical instruments and styles, followed by hands-on creative play and music-making activities. Each ACO Family Day has a unique theme and features musicians of the ACO performing with special guest artists.
Tickets are $25 for adults and children and include both the performance and access to our creative play experience. Tea, coffee, and refreshments are available in our shared foyer and can be enjoyed whilst taking in the spectacular views of Sydney Harbour.
Suitable for all ages but recommended for families with children aged 2-10 years old.

ACO Family Day: Sounds of Australia
Join us for a very special ACO Family Day featuring didgeridoo virtuoso, vocalist and composer William Barton performing with the Australian Chamber Orchestra, led by Principal Violin Helena Rathbone. Sounds of Australia is a unique family concert experience which will immerse you in the sights and sounds of the land we call home.
Don’t miss the chance to see Will Barton and his virtuosic didgeridoo playing, in the stunning surrounds of ACO Pier 2/3, a place with a rich history of music-making and storytelling on the lands of the Gadigal people. After the performance, join us for creative play activities where children can make their very own rain stick.

ACO Family Day: Bach & Friends
Introduce little listeners to the instruments, rhythms, and melodies of the Baroque period in this family concert featuring music by JS Bach and friends. Performed by leading harpsichord player Chad Kelly directing an 11-piece ACO string orchestra, this performance will have audiences of all ages enthralled in the beauty and richness of this extraordinary musical period.
This ACO Family concert Bach & Friends will give children the chance to learn more about string instruments and the harpsichord, and following the performance they have the chance to try out a string instrument of their own.
